the hunt for a host
So while Bear is still a top contender, I wanted to see what else was out there. To that end, I opened two "rest website hosting: ranked" articles and looked up some advice on Reddit.
The first thing I noticed: I have no idea what I'm doing.
Seriously. I don't know SSL from CSS, I have no idea what DDoS is (is it related to DOS? That old computer thingie that calls the hard drive c?) I really want security from AI scrapers but have little to no idea what other security I want or need. I remember being proud of myself in 1998 learning HTML. I recognize the word "Javascript" but couldn't pick it out of a lineup.
So honestly, the first article was much less helpful than I thought. Let's see about the second...
Oh my gosh. Forbes is doing its best to explain what to look for in simple English. As usual, when I start reading my vision gets blurry and I have to remind myself to breathe.
LOL there is no "intuative user interface" in the world of the Bama. I am equally uncomfortable with drag-and-drop as I am with coding. XD (I wish I was joking. I'm not.)
I keep thinking about the above paragraph. It's funny because it's true. It's horrifying for the same reason.
