Business Journey

That escalated quickly

So this morning I got a text message from my healthcare insurance provider... none other than medicaid. (People? Medicaid. For. All. It's never going to happen because too many people have made too much money off our broken system, but it's still the best answer.)

Republicans are now insisting that you work for medicaid. Yup. Earn $580/month or prove that you're sick, in school, volunteering or working for 80 hours/month. They have, "mercifully," granted exceptions to mothers of young children and caregivers, and are counting addiction as illness.

I have literally ZERO idea how well I'm gonna be able to prove I work 80 hours/month. I'm starting to document all my hours so I can at least try. On actual paper, because that's how I roll. It's actually pretty reassuring. My ADHD brain is either "Everything is in Perfect Order" or "wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" and lately the later's been prevailing. I'm hoping to keep this momentum going as I finish setting up my office during this week and the next.

Speaking of setting things up, Herman got back to me and I can put my business site on Bear!! WHOO HOO!! I need to get up some ideas on a website and decide if I still need Matty to help me or if my HTML will suffice. (I must admit, the latter is a probability.) Oh my gosh I have a place I can stick Actual Buttons I'm so excited you have no idea.

OK, break over, back to business. :D
